Community Education Season Wrap Up
What a fantastic season it’s been for the Community Education Team!
Delivering both the LSV Endorsed Beach Education Program as well as bespoke water safety programs the team has been all over the Peninsula – from Sorrento to Somers and Blairgowrie to Balnarring!
The team provided valuable instruction to hundreds of Primary School students with activities such as how to spot dangers, DRSABC, rescues with everyday items and how to use a Lifejacket and Boogie Board safely.
We are blessed to have such a rich pool of talented instructors from which to draw. They are amazing role models and the participants frequently comment how they want “to be just like them” when they grow up.
A massive thank you also to the sponsors – especially United Energy and the Ladies Lunch for supporting the program and subsidising those schools who struggle to find funding.
Sadly, the season has come to an end and it’s time to start wearing shoes again – until next year – Henry Kiss signing off!
