Platinum Camp delivers the Silver Medallion Aquatic Rescue (SMAR) award; an advanced qualification that focuses on developing advanced rescue skills and knowledge for surf lifesavers. Focusing on search and rescue operations, this certification is designed for participants who wish to expand their operational & leadership capabilities while being prepared to face more challenging situations and environments.

Platinum Camp will be run at Portsea SLSC.

CAMP ELIGIBILITY
All candidates must satisfy the following eligibility criteria to participate in Platinum Camp:
- Be a current financial member of Portsea SLSC
- Hold proficient Bronze Medallion (BM) and Inflatable Rescue Boat Crew (IRBC) (recorded in the SLSA / LSV database)
- Advanced Resuscitation Techniques & First Aid (ART/FA) and any other awards are highly desired
- Attended Portsea SLSC Silver Camp
- Be in good standing with the Club
- Complete and Submit a Platinum Camp Application
While there is no strict “Platinum Ticket” for priority entry into the program, applicants must have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to the Club and contributed to Portsea SLSC in a significant capacity. This should be outlined in detail in the candidates Platinum Camp Application.
PROGRAM FEES
The cost for Platinum Camp is $500 per candidate.
