The Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC) program wasn’t offered by the Club in 2025 due to the introduction of the Surf Academy. It has been reintroduced in 2026 as the natural progression from Surf Academy.
The program will provide candidates with the basic skills and knowledge of surf awareness, rescue techniques, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), first aid, communications, and radio operations. SRC is an excellent opportunity for participants to begin developing and practising their patrol skills. Once completed next step is to join a patrol and commence patrolling!
