Joining the Club in 2004 as a Nipper, Chris always loved the water and could always be found out the back bodysurfing. After doing his Bronze in 2010 he fell in love with lifesaving and knew that he wanted to become a lifeguard. He lifeguarded for a fews, became a Senior lifeguard, and Chris is now the Chief lifeguard for the peninsula. Chris also has an interest in Education, and ran Bronze camp in 2017 and 2018.

In 2019, Chris took on the role of lifesaving director at Portsea. He looks to build on the great work that has been for patrols at Portsea already, and he aims to set up a Patrols Subcommittee to achieve this.
